i’m soooooooo happy that people have apparently forgotten the era of fully editable posts to the point that when they see one that has been severely fucked up they think they’re witnessing some kind of powerful tumblr magic

i would happily give back, like, replies… heck, i would even give up ASKS to be able to edit posts like you could years ago. that was really the golden age of this website. i have no idea how tumblr was even able to function as a means of communication back then because you could literally make a post on your own blog that looked exactly like a post made by any user of your choice as long as you knew how to, like, do links in html. you could just put in their url instead of yours. it was so easy. you could commit petty identity theft whenever you wanted and change up information in whatever manner suited your whim and nobody thought twice about the fact that tumblr allowed you this power
